The documentation is currently available as a snapshot in zipped format. Download the zip and unpack into a directory of your choice. Next, you may either read the documentation from the *.html files, starting with "Doc.html" or by feeding it to QtAssistant wich will give you a nice chm like user interface.
To display the documentation in QtAssistant execute the "ericdoc_qta.py" script in the folder. It will look for the "profile.adp" file in the current folder and feed it to QtAssistant ...if nothing goes wrong. This feature is not heavily tested, so please be so kind to report any bugs.
Enough said, here is the download link --> eric-doc.zip (~5mb)
Click on "eric-doc.zip" and trac will lead you to the download.
Notes:
The documentation is not yet complete. You may help completing this project by requesting an account to the wiki and start editing right away. Anyone is welcome to drop in their 2cents to shed some light in the unreveiled secrets of the eric ide. For any questions drop a mail to the address as specified at the bottom of the WikiStart page
QtAssistant notes:
QtAssistant "remembers" where you first ran it with a specified profile and sets this directory as root for subsequent access. So, moving the docs around after you started assistant along with them is probably not a good idea. Unpack the zip to the desired location and best do not touch it anymore or otherwise assistant will refuse to load any pages. Quirky, but that's how it is.
QtAssistant has some problems with rendering images and no "refresh" button in sight. Hit Ctrl+, Ctrl- instead.
