Welcome to the Eric-ide wiki !
In this wiki you will find user interface documentation for the Eric-IDE and other related resources.
If you want to report bugs or suggest new features please do not use the TRAC ticket system. Supply your reports to the SourceForge bugtracker and support request system instead. There is also a mailing list for Eric you may join. Feel free to edit any page of this Wiki if you feel something is missing or could be done better. Use the Wiki section to add eric related content that does not fit in any of the other sections.
Currently the documentation is a sketch. So don't be scared if you find no (in words N-O) content at all. Any help to fill the gaps is greatly appreciated.

What Is Eric ?
Eric is an advanced Python (and Ruby) IDE that is based on the pyQT GUI toolkit and the QScintilla editor control. Currently Eric is based on pyQT3 with restricted licence for windows platforms. This is going to change as soon as pyQT4 is released, allowing for free use of the underlying QT gui toolkit for open source projects on windows platforms as well.
